Sitting in the back seat of your car,
Letting you guide me through
All my states of mind.
Memories come out too fast
From my bloodshot eyes.
I see the world too small from behind.
I lose track of your words,
I say yes, to approve your enthusiasm.
I don't know if I deserve this place,
Maybe it belongs to someone else.
I look at the stars in the middle of the rain
And imagine them hidden above the clouds,
Scared and screaming and lonely,
As I feel sometimes when I smile
At you out of my habit.
Maybe not everyone gets to see the heaven,
I keep my head down when I don't know
What to lie to you not to keep you worried.
