SHE DEMANDED FOR WINGS BUT CAN'T FLY 

Arise! Oh Nigeria
Nigeria! The blessed nation that grows from the Niger area 
With infinite of milk,cheese and honey
Surprisingly, her children still enjoying in agony 
Arise! Nigeria arise!

I raised my flag up 
Coloured with unity, peace and richness in agriculture 
An area flowing of gift with many diversity of culture
Do you dare say peace and unity existed not? 
For a nation to live without war among her household
She worth to be celebrated 

Yes, do not hear me wrong 
Conflict can't be compare to war, I'm not wrong 
She allows fight but yet she uphold the peace and unity despite her children want to be apart 
Yet she rules, teaches and feed them though having favouritism to one part 
Yet she worth to be celebrated

I hail the great giant of Africa
A nation that demanded for wings but never fly
Very funny, she teaches her neighbors how to grow wings and fly 
A mother that murdered her own sons and daughters
Yet still remains the giant of Africa 

I do not know either to blame thee or celebrate thee 
I'm now prospecting in confusion
Of how thou have stranded and keep suffering thy generation 
You're getting older, when will you be better 
Arise Nigeria and claim thy peace
