Searching for something 
that I will never find
 and little by little
 losing my mind
I just wanted someone 
to care about me 
but that's too much to ask
that's easy to see
someone hold me
 all through the night
 and to tell me don't worry 
 everything is all right
Someone who listens 
to what I have to say
 and  who will be there 
every step of the way
Someone to be 
my closest friend 
and stay with me
 until the end
Someone who likes
 all the things that I do 
someone who reminds me
 of someone like you 
someone to guide me 
if I go astry 
But instead I'm here
 on that Lost highway
