I read in your eyes as one reads a poem,
Fascinated by the words, drunk with passion,
Like a fervent reader in the novel he loves,
Sensitive to the meaning of the word, to perception.

I read in your eyes with a wide-open book
Unveiling your most secret thoughts
And like the poet imagining a verse
My mind ventures into discreet reverse

I read in your glance this divine word: Love
Easy to guess, complicit attitudes,
You were watching me too, and better than a long speech,
Our thoughts, together, were revealing.

Moulay Cherif Chebihi Hassani
