I'm in love with a man you used to be, the man I hope you can once again be,but the ball is in your court...
so I spend nights praying for you to once again be that man, I know he's in there somewhere, buried under all that hurt, betrayal and disappointment.
I tried desperately to bring him back, but I failed. because of that,the ball is now in your court.
 only you can resurrect him and bring him back.I can't tell you it's going to be easy, cuz it ain't.
but what I can tell you is that it doesn't need to be difficult either. I wish someone had told you that love it's not a weakness, it's a strength, a  advantage.then I wish they would have taught you how to embrace it and use it to make your world a better place.
I wish I'd met you way before  people stomped all over your heart.
I would have told you to carry your  heart around with Grace, I would have begged you to not let their evil ways change you. them being bad to you was not supposed to change you,it wasn't supposed to reduce you to what they are,to make you love any less.
 it was supposed to teach you to cling to the ones that reciprocate your Love with everything you have.
I don't think I can change you because I know I definitely can't.
 but you can bring that guy back, the guy your protrating he's not strong, he's just hardened, and hard, well hard gets brittle, hard breaks.
 I've done all I can do now, the ball its in your court for real now.
