THE UNION
The man smiles
The woman sighs
A noughty little bird watch from the trees
It's shrill piercing song flow through their nerves
Mellowing bones as bossoms touch

Stances slouch as knee joints fail
A sensual slow motioned fall on the grass
Mixes pulses,  messes senses
Stirs up feelings long suppressed
Breaking barriers, Casting viels
Poking embers flaming hot
And Locked
They rock
Tango and roll
Pump and jerk
Strain and groan
As the grass below
They stain

The man sighs as the woman stretch
A bright silver moon shines over them
The frenzied moans slowly synch to a hum
And frogs down the river join with a chorus

Homewards, they lazily trudge
Hand in hand as the evening breeze
Like in conspiracy whispers low
And sways the woods to gladly bow
Down and up and thither and yon
Cool like soldiers royal and shy
Saluting the Union
