We all do have our Ghostly lives
Unfettered in the Earthly cares
In golden plots tucked in our minds
But on the ground we miss our steps
And meet more pains and tears than Gold
We don't deserve no spanks or burns
But love for self and glowing smiles
Each time we meet a new day forth

No ghost alive 👻 deserve to burn
In hellfire met or lit by self
For moves or lines we've ruined or lost
Or mis-steps in  a stage so strange

The world adores the worlds we create
But makes alien our real life act
Our quests are queer if looked against
Scripts that the world
Will relish most

Not most in our deep thinkers race
quite get to live their days in grace
The props they find and costume grant
Will seldom fit their golden script
Decide and cheer against the odds
My friendly Ghost
Mostly Ghostly.

i wrote these lines as a protest the frequent loneliness, sadness and alienation that artists, especially writers often experience. it was inspired by the deep reflections by a prolific member of this forum; @mostly ghostly- apologies if offended in any way
