GHOSTS ON STAGE

We all have our Ghostly lives
Unfettered in the wordly rules
In golden plots tucked
In the mind

Down hard earth though
We miss the track and mess the plot
On hard tacked roads and wade the mist
And meet more pains and tears than Gold

We still deserve  No spanks or burns
But love for self and glowing smiles
Each time we meet a new day forth

This world adores our dreamworlds writ
But makes alien our real life act
Our quests are queer if looked against
Scripts that the world will relish most

Not most in this  our thinkers race
Quite get to live  their days in grace
The props they find and costume grant
Will seldom fit their golden script

No ghost on Earth👻 deserve to burn
In hellfire met or lit by self
For moves or lines  they ruined or lost
Or mis-steps on a stage so strange

Decide to smile against the odds
And spread the cheer if just to prompt
The ghostly cast groping for roles
In a world lost

i wrote these lines as a protest the frequent loneliness, sadness and alienation that artists, especially writers often experience. it was inspired by the deep reflections by a prolific member of this forum; @mostly ghostly- apologies if offended in any way
