Your Skin Over My Bones Read Count : 89

You blink often, trying to hide your emotions,
But your red lips burn like fire on my lips,
I want to keep your breath fresh back in my nostrils.

You tell me words that heal my wounds,
I answer you with a look that melts
Your skin over my bones.

Let your mouth smile at my bad jokes,
Let your arms dance with my fears
And then let them die behind -
Blossoming my life from zero -

Falling in love with your dreams.

Where have you been hiding all these years,
When I've been looking for you
In every breath I've felt in my ear?

Why did you let me wait for you too long,
When my heart was barely beating in my chest,
Almost dead at the end of my breathing?

You blink often, trying to hide your emotions.
  I close my eyes, dancing
With your heartbeat on the rhythm
Of my steps back to your mouth again.
