Fake President should have listened to his inital instincts on Afghanastan and followed through on them to remove our troops. Like he said over and over again before and during his campaign, "Afghanistan is a waste of American lives and treasure".

Typical teleprompter rhetoric. Sure, he indicated  coming change of some goals and approaches but we will never change the realities of that country. That tribal society will never put down their guns and work for peace, it is simply their way of life. If he wasn't desperate to change the current political climate this speech would not have been made. His speech offered nothing from a significant strategic change for our on the ground troops, just more loss of American lives and treasure. And how is bringing India into the situation going to positively influence Pakistan cooperation? Yet another instance of lack of constructive leadership by Fake President.
