We live in a world were society dictates our life's. Such is the life of Chris and his journey trough life all the obstacles hes had to overcome to get to where hes now. Society tends to change a lot its view on everything the views on whats trending or not. As a kid chris was told you can be whatever you want whatever you dream of you can achieve it little did he know society would influence his decision in a major way.

As Chris made the transition to high school he was excited to enter a new stage in his life towards a new start. At the time everything seemed pretty normal all was running smoothly he was enjoying life. When suddenly a death in the family occurred his uncle had passed away it affected his focus, but just as soon as he was getting back in track 3 months later another of his uncles passed away this affected him badly as his motivation for school was running low. Fast forward a couple of months and another tragedy struck him he had to endure the pain of watching his grandma suffer in a hospital bed for more than 1 month while the family was busy arguing and pointing fingers at each other. After visiting his grandma everyday and watching her suffer the family finally gave up hope and decided to let her go home and rest, while chris had to go through the inevitable and had to just wait for his grandma to finally rest everyday hearing the screams of pain not knowing if he would see her the next day all while still attending school. Subsequently one day his grandma didn't wake up and he was broken while in school people would look at him and laugh at how he looked but he would never speak up he kept quiet he held onto all those emotions and did not let them out.

As a result this brought his motivation down for the later years in school all of what happened in just a span of his first year in high school. In addition as he moved on to sophomore and junior year everything was getting back to normal but he was still holding on to his emotions his grades were low he did not care much about passing he was okay with being average. As chris moved on he started to realize more and more that people looked at him funny laughed a the way he looked everyone would look at him weird and brought his self esteem down, as a result he got to the point were his friends would invite him to go to football games or parties or just to go and hang out he would make up excuses to not go because he was traumatized of what society would do to him laugh or judge him. He was in the lowest state he could of been in so he hid himself from society in the internet he saw it as his safe place little did he know the world would find him and he wouldn't be safe fr the rest of his life. Furthermore, senior year finally came he was excited to finally finish high school bu he still had 2 obstacles the state test that he could still not overcome stressing him out and dragging his grades down and his self esteem. Then he finally received good news he had passed his state test in his last attempt to graduate with his class but as he was getting ready to graduate something stopped him from walking with his class. His confidence was not great as fear overcame him and discouraged him from walking to get his diploma he gave up and let society judge him once again and stop him from enjoying life.

Eventually he received his diploma later in the summer as he went to pick it up he was excited to start a new chapter in his life and going of to college and studying what he always dreamed of. Everything was running smoothly in the first semester as it ended he did pretty well, now onto the start of the second semester one week before Christmas tragedy once again struck. It was a normal day in December as Chris was surfing the web he listens to his mom screaming and his dad on the couch struggling to breathe as they called for help his dad was laying on the floor helpless right in front of his eyes knowing their was nothing he could do but just watch. As Chris is with his mom family arrives to the hospital and they get he news that his dad had multiple heart attacks and hes been transferred to the intensive care unit they spend sleepless nights with hope as they run studies to figure out what happened to his dad. Then, they finally let Chris and his family in to see his dad as he sees his dad with cables all over his body he breaks down and starts crying. Eventually the doctor with the family and tells them that hes in a coma but they don't know yet what happened to him as they will run more studies they're told that you can talk to him he will hear you giving the family hope. As they spend one week on the hospital on December 23, 2015 they receive the news that his dad had passed away of brain damage and not getting enough oxygen.

Furthermore, Chris has to continue with school 3 weeks after his dads death he goes back to college as he returns with his desire to continue with college plummets he ends up failing 2 out of his 3 classes. In addition, he decides to take it easy and decides to take only 1 class by that time hes living by himself his mom is living in anther city to make up the money to pay up for rent he ends up failing the class and does not know if he wants to keep going with college. As summer passes he decides to not take anymore classes but he starts talking to one of his longest friend whom he known for ore that 13 years he invites Chris to go to the gym but refuses due to his self esteem but eventually gets convinced to go and starts to get out of his shell more. One day he meets this girl through a dating app and completely changes his life and gives him the best advice hes ever gotten "If people laugh at you or look at you weird just smile and be happy with yourself". This girl changes his life completely and hes more comfortable talking about how he feels and all that hes been through. Furthermore, the relationship with the girl did not work but they're still very good friends and talk to this day.

More importantly Chris continues to live his life more confident and following the advice the girl gave him smile everything will be all right life is not gonna stop. You decide what you want to do with your life their are gonna be obstacles through life which may seem impossible to overcome but nothing is impossible for you to overcome. Make the choice are you gonna let society run your life or are you gonna go out their meet new people and enjoy your life because who knows how much we may have left.
