Scattered to pieces
Alone at night
She closed her eyes
To see all the pain
Replaying over
And over throughout
Her weary soul
So pale and thin
It hurted to heal
And more so to speak
Until she no longer
Thought of the past
The way she once did
So long ago
Becoming a whisper
A shadow of hope
That only her heart
Could hear late at night
With tears falling down
As she whispered to no one
Let my heart break
And mend once again
To rest in the still
Inside these four walls
