RETURN TO ME

The laughter I crave
You far away gave.
Forlorn and morose,
I feigned and rose
To not look back.

But, you hauled a pack
Of snubbing acts at
Me. Your lovely pat
I once had to lean on
Is now a mere past spot.

Return to me my dear
Never your smile to clear.
For without you by me,
I may fall in the deep
Where my soul weeps.
