ABIDING HOPE

Hold, will I, my hands to work
To reach, with zeal, my goals.
Clutch, will I, tightly to my dreams
To fulfill, with joys, my hopes.

Abiding in me is my steady hope
Of never falling short, tho falter I.
Scathing to me is my toxic locale,
Yet stuffed with hopes I am filled.

Nature, know I, may act a foe,
Friends, see I, deride my lofty ride,
A nation, suffer I in, of aborted catch,
Yet, strive I, in full force, and hopes.

Watch, you, with irk loaths or pretence,
Me, abide under my umbrella of hopes:
Prospering, excelling and achieving in all.
