So silent I sit in solitudeWhere tears unbind from my eyesMy visions are bluedWith biting stars that I fail to graspAs the moon caresses at another’s claspA faint knot tombedDeep withinFrom all of the anguishAnd all of the painI beg this lumberTo not snatch me awayOnly to leave me at my numbing graveI fear I will not endure so sprightlyAnd locks of land under which I layWon’t furnish me with everlasting harmony
