I caught my breath after running through the burning building. Huǒ was passed out on the ground. The unconscious girl he saved was on his chest. I sat there besides them until health officials came.

We were rushed to the hospital. I sat in the waiting room. My brother and the girl he saved were being treated for their injuries. It was scary.

We were just home, then we wake up in a room locked up. Now we're here. All that in one day. I kept having flashbacks. They stuck needles in me. They took blood out of me, they did tests on me. I was so scared. I thought of Huǒ, worrying about him. Wondering if he was okay. I kept my mind distracted from everything they were doing to me. I looked down my arm. A black mark running up to my shoulder. I started screaming. I heard a loud bang before passing out.

I came to, back in the waiting room. A doctor was gesturing to me to follow him. He took me to see my brother. I started tearing up, I hugged him so tight I almost made blackout from lack of air. I was so relieved to see that he was okay. So happy. After checking on Huǒ, I went to talk to the girl. She was nice.
