I melt under her tears,
I say words I wouldn't want to hear.
I reach out to grab her hand,
My lungs refuse the air.

I lived in the dark and I can't go out,
She smiles but she doesn't know why
 My mouth stays sad.

I tell her she's welcome,
She tells me she's glad she's gone.
 I'm empty as a bottle.

Her tear-filled eyes leave my eyes
Caught in the hot waves of summer
 Drinks at bars.

They smile when they see me,
I don't see anyone through my bleeding.
I'm calling her, I already know
She won't answer me.

I tell her she's welcome,
She tells me she's glad she's gone.
