Violet Spencer did not think her fantasy world, one day, would become reality. She always knew that somewhere outside of Mythstrand there would be something worth exploring but she never even imagined it would be herself that she needed to explore.

Violet wanted to leave, she wanted to explore outside of Mythstrand and leave her mother for as long as she wanted but of course, her mother was never going to allow that. "But mom I'm 16, practically an adult, I don't see why I can go outside of Mysthstrand for a few days. You're being a complete control freak!" Violet knew her mother wasn't going to allow it but, the one thing that Violet lived by, her one rule in life, was to at least try because she also knew that if she didn't at least try she would never have to think about what could've been and that's something that Violet had lived by ever since her father had died. Her mother had told her one day that her father had been killed but she always refused to tell who, and or what, did just so. Violet also missed her old carefree mother that if given the chance would do something crazy and risk her life and never regret it, but of course, after her father's death, her mother had never been the same. "Violet Amberly Spencer, you are never to speak to me like that ever again. Whatever I say in this house goes. End of discussion." "But mom-" Violet had been cut off by a very loud bang outside her home. Her mother went to go investigate by the window and seemed to be alarmed by what was waiting for them outside their home. "Violet you have to listen to me and hide. I have to go."
"What do you mean? Where are you going? What is it?" Violet said extremely worried by her mother's actions. "There is no time to explain. I have to go now." Her mother rushed over and hugged Violet, like she never had before, and mumbled words as she ran out the door but Violet couldn't quite piece together what it was her mother had said. A few seconds later, Violet heard her mother yelling at something, someone, and she was worried as to who it was her mother was yelling so loudly too."No! You leave her alone! She stays here, with me, where absolutely nobody can hurt her!"
Then the lock was picked on the door and when Violet looked out of her hiding place she saw nothing but a boy, who looked her age. He calmly walked towards Violet, looked her in the eyes and said: "Come with me if you want freedom, we have a lot to tell you." "Whos 'we'?"
"You'll see."

Violet and the mystery boy walked down Violets front driveway and Violet was quite excited to leave the one place she had been stuck in for the majority of her life. "And what is that you 'need' me for again?" to Violet this entire scenario was a bit suspicious but being that this boy had come out of no-where, practically made her mom, the most fearless woman she knew, look terrified, and all he told her was that other people are looking for her, she was scared and was not going to run. Instead Violet was going to figure out what his plan was. "I can't quite tell you yet, it could risk your safety and mine." "Oh umm ok, well can I at least get your name?" Violet didn't know much but the one thing she did know what that she was not going to walk around with somebody and continue calling them a mystery boy. "Fine, whatever, my name is Dimitri. Now can you please stop asking questions and walk?" Violet was quite annoyed by his rudeness but noticed that he had quite a unique accent, one she had never heard before, but then again she was basically trapped in her house for 13 years." Oh ok, I'm violet by the way." "I know." Once again she noticed his accent and was able to figure out what it was. He was French. To Violet, it was very beautiful and every word he said sounded like music. Dimitri kept strangely looking at Violet but it was nothing creepy, well to Violet it was, but it wasn't, she had just never been looked at like that before. He looked at her with adoration in his eyes and as Violet made strict eye contact with him and said: "I swear to everything I love if you keep looking at me like that I'm going to-" but she was cut off, he looked hurt, and as she noticed the sparkle in his eyes, she immediately felt sorry for him. "Your gonna what?" He said quite sarcastically. "I'm going to poke you in both your eyes and run." Violet smirched and so did he. Violet also started to blush, but the feeling she got in her stomach was like something she had never felt before, it... kind of felt like butterflies. "Okay umm, well are you going to tell me what you need me for or what, because like I kind of don't feel safe walking around with a stranger."It was true. Violet felt completely uneasy about the whole thing. She wasn't sure if she was able to trust Dimitri or not, he just randomly showed up, out of nowhere, and made her mother scared and her mother was never scared. "Listen, Vivie, you can trust me ok, I'm only here to help. " Violet noticed it. She noticed that he called her Vivle and it gave her the butterfly feeling again. "Did you just call me Vivie?" Then came the blushing. "Yea, sorry, do you prefer I call you something else? Because if you don't like it I-" "No. I love it. It's just that no one has ever really called me a nickname before, that's all."
