Nothing lasts forever,
 Not even the pain.  
Nothing lasts forever, 
I can't have you for long. 

 Time punishes us. It takes us far. 
 The phrase:
 "I can't wait to see you tomorrow",
It's replaced by:
 "I don't want to see you again."

 Nothing lasts forever, 
My eyes are dry.
The waves of tears I cried 
Exhausted my soul.

 It doesn't last forever, 
I keep that in mind.
My life can change for the better, 
With you or without you by my side.
