"Hey, Steve, how are you doing?" Judy said while plucking her tomatoes from her garden. "Hey Judy, and I am doing just fine, thank you very much," I said as I pushed my torn up string bag back around. I had lived under a runway for the last 5 years with my dog.Just last week I had found my forever home. "Hey!" I said as I hastily ran that morning when it all changed. "Who's there?!" This younger guy that had a food and sticks in a a baby sack on his front. "It is just me and my dog Seth." Seth had always been cautious we try to get him to go to a mental institution but he won't go because he doesn't have enough money. We all have very little money. The reason I keep saying "we" is because I live out here with my 4 friends Judy, Seth, Gary, and my best friend of all time Abby. Judy actually has a house but it's tiny. I also have my best friend of all time, Chloe, she is a miniature long haired English Cream daschund. "I just needed someone to talk to about my life and Abby is still asleep in her sleeping bag and Judy is at her shop," I said putting my dog's leash on the pipe holding up his trash bag. "What about Gary I think I just saw him pass the store earlier?" He said while he took my dog's leash of the pipe and handing it back to me. I put him back on the pipe and he returns him back to me. I was done I had to leave because no one and I mean no one disrespects my dog. Back at home (under the highway ) I saw a limo and it is very unusual to see a limo down here we'll actually I have never seen one down here. "Hey can we stop here please?" A girl said in the white clean limo. "Why would you want to stop here?" Asked while he watched the red light. "Because I see a homeless guy with his dog please can we stop here?" The sweet girl said. "No," the man said sternly. They drove off and didn't come back in the limo. That afternoon I was eating my ham and cheese sandwich which I got from Rowforth's food store for free. "This sandwich is very good," I said to Chloe as I opened her can of dog food that I got from the free store. Chloe started panting hard, so I rubbed him down and said "it is okay." It didn't work and by then I started to get worried. What if something is wrong? What if he is in trouble? I ran to the vet and I checked back at Chloe to see if she was ok. I turned to see that Chloe wasn't even behind me. So I went back and got the leash wrapped it around my wrist and walked to the vet. The first thing I noticed was the white long limo. I stood there and thought. I don't know what I was thinking about though. I looked back at Chloe and I knew she was in pain. I rushed in the vet and the girl we at the check in. She was checking in her German shepherd because he had a broken leg. I rushed to the front desk and said "I need emergency help!" Both the driver and bodyguard plugged their noses. I forgot to go in the lake to shower this morning. I was a little embarrassed but I had a dog who needed emergency help. "Right this way sir," said the lady from the check in while running in front of me. "Thanks," I said trying to catch up with her. As soon we got to the vet room she examined him and said that he was going to need surgery now. I was hoping he was just tired. "This is pretty serious we will do anything for him," she said in a quick but stern voice. "Do anything you want," I said worrying about the cost but I didn't care because she was going to be okay I hope. She prepped him for surgery and prepped me to watch her. They went into surgery. After surgery was over I ran over to the lady. "Is she okay?" I said worried half to death. "Yes she did perfect," the girl said as I let go of my breath. "Can I see him?" I said relieved. "Um... sir we are worried you can't afford the cost," as she said that I started to think I have $3 I don't know if that will be enough. "I have enough money," I lied. "I will pay for it" a strange voice said behind me it sounded young. "What?!" Another voice said. "Trust me," the first voice whispered. I turned around to see a 12 year old girl and a old man. "Oh you don't have to do that," I said hoping she would offer again. "No, I will pay for it," she said stern for as young as she was. "Trust me I have enough money," she said showing me her wad of cash. At that moment I noticed that she was the president's daughter, Charolette! "Oh, ma'm I did not recognize you I apologize," I said scared she thought I was trying to ignore her. "Here is how much it should cost and here is the money for my dog's check up," she said giving the money to the lady. "Thank you, now please go back to the visitors and waiting space," the lady said trying to get rid of us. "Lunch is ready!" Said Charolette while she put water and food down for Chloe and Bruno (the German Shepard). Chloe growled because she liked eating her food first. Bruno backed away.
