Footnote
I guess I'm finally admitting
That which I've always known.
I failed to reach true greatness,
I failed to leave my zone.
I've hung my head in public,
I've blended with the crowd.
I thought that I could do it,
I thought I could stand out.
Perhaps I'm just a footnote
In the stories of people's lives.
A quickly faded memory
That passes with the time.
