The day my brother went missing I thought I'd never see him again. I've been searching for him for seven years now and have not found him. The police has searched every where but he is not been found. When I was eleven that's when he went missing. Luke, my brother, was twelve. I'm not sure if he's alive or dead. I don't know where to look, I don't know where else to look. I've talked to all his soccer buddies. I've talked to his best friend, Caleb and he's been lost. I remember everything that happened the day he went missing. I keep a diary everyday, and wrote everything down.

(The day he went missing)

It was a bright sunny day in the state of Arkansas with temperatures reaching 103°. Luke and I went outside to help Mr. Edward mow his yard and rake the grass. Luke mowed I picked my the grass. When we were done we walked up to Mr. Edward's house where we always got cookies and lemonade after doing his yard. After we left Mr. Edward's house Luke and I went to the store to get milk and eggs. Once we got back home, mom had dinner ready for us, daddy was still at work. Daddy worked 3:30am.-7:45pm, he worked for a company called ‘Move n Go’

After dinner Luke helped mom with the dishes while I went upstairs to do my homework. Luke came up to my room and asked, “Lily, do you want to take a shower first?” “No. I'm not done, but thank you.” When he was done with his shower, he went outside. He always goes outside after his shower, he likes the coolness of the wind on his wet body, but he had a time limit, mom's rule was, ‘stay on the porch, and you have 10 minutes.’ After ten minutes he didn't come back in. Mom walked out there, and said “Luke your time…” she called my name. “Lily! Is Luke up there?” “No” I called back. She walked back outside and yelled his name multiple times. He never came. Mom walked across the street to all the neighbors house and asked if he was over there. Each time they said, “Nope. Haven't seen him.” Mom freaked. She ran back home call Daddy. Daddy came him thirty minutes later. Me, Mom, and Daddy walked everywhere. We could not find him. After five hours of looking, we couldn't find him. I went to my room and took out my journal and started writing. That's what I've been doing ever since.

Journal Entry. 9/17/2004

It's been twenty four hours, Luke still isn't home. Today we went to the Police Station and filed a ‘Missing Person Report’ after that we went home and printed off pictures of Luke and hung them around town. When we came back mom made dinner and then went to bed. Daddy stayed up for a moment, but then went to bed also. So it was just me. Nobody else. Just me. I cleaned the table, did the dishes, did the laundry. I did everything that Luke would do if he were here. I went outside and screamed. “LUKE! WHERE ARE YOU? PLEASE COME HOME!” Then I walked back inside and sat down at the table with my math book, took one look at it and then I started to cry
