Memories To Grey Read Count : 137

I had awoken early that morning,
To her drinking from my coffee cup
While smoking my last cigarette.

She had a tear in her eye
Holding out a dear John letter in her hand.

I could have tried, but instead gave her her space, and walked out of her life.

Closing the door behind me
Never to say goodbye,
never to know the reason why.

I tried so hard, so hard I tried
With a tear in her eye, all she could say was that I tried.

Now there is no more blue,
- nor darkened of sky.

The once colors - like my memories,  both blur a little more,
as each day goes bye.

As our picture turns to grey
All our memories slowly fade.

Acting - are our last words
To extinguish our once - forever flame.

As memories become a blur,
as our page takes that turn.

We watch all our words turn grey,
like falling  ashes
Slowly to burn, slowly  float away.

Turning both the sky
And our picture
To grey
