MYSELF....

Do I know myself?
I don't love anyone,
But yet, I want them to love me.
I don't care for anyone,
But still, I want them to care of me.
I don't make jokes,
But still, I want them to laugh.
I don't enjoy their company,
But yet, I want them to enjoy the company of mine.
I don't study hard,
But yet, I want to be always on top.
I never do anything good,
But still, I always want them to praise me.
I don't talk and socialize with anyone,
But still, I want them to talk about me.
I am an idiotic unsocial person,
But yet, I want them to know me.
My whole self is full of contradiction.
And I don't know, will it be possible or not?
So now, you tell me...
How will it work โmyselfโ?
(Asking myself only as myself is personified)

You have written this poem with 'I am' style and device using Self-contradiction in free verse. Here, contradictions echo in soliloquy. Hamlet speaks to himself in soliloquy 'to be or not to be...' where mental conflict depicted by Shakespeare about the conduct of Gertrude and story of ghost of Hamlet's father. I opened the App after a long span where I was busy with my project of writing an educational book and yesterday 'Technical &General English Guide' published in kdp.amazon.com. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=3942173752568348&id=100003272873922
