I heard you cry
When we said goodbye
But I didn't know what to do
I know your heart, it
Broke like mine
So many pieces to sift through


I know I didn't
Show my heart
When we grew apart
But then again
I kept it all in
Didn't want you to see me hurt


And the pain I felt
Came to a head
After we walked apart
All the anger and pain
Words in vain
Came crashing to the walls 


And the house I'd built
With sin and guilt
Crashed down around me
Once and for all
No more living
With this weight
My freedom is
Here to take


And I see your tears
Through the years
Raining down from the sky
Now I understand
The heartfelt plan
The words spoken to the wise
