After staying in the hospital for three days and missing school for an entire week, Clay returned to school.

May was waiting for Clay up at the front gates. She waved at him once she saw him. Clay looked up then looked back down, walked passed her. May followed behind him. They didn't talk throughout the whole day. Once school was out Clay skipped Track practice and headed home.

He locked his apartment door. Turned off all the lights. He went straight to his room and locked himself in all night. He didn't eat anything. When his phone rang he ignored it, went straight to voicemail.

"Hey... Clay, it's me May, I was able to get the school to give me your number. I just wanted to see if you were okay, you haven't saud a word all day during school and I didn't see you Track practice today so I was worried. I hope we're still up for tomorrow to hang at the mall tomorrow. Um...well, I hope your doing okay and get to see and talk to you tomorrow. Goodnight, bye..." Voicemail ended.
