Addiction starts at a young age, and it can be with the simplest things, parental affection, toys, cartoons, etc. We people don't realize this, psychology doesn't teach this, they put it at the beginning of adolescents. Addiction starts much earlier, it is either in your DNA, or mental, make up.
It's not our parents fault they don't realize it, their just being parents and trying to support us, but if as parents we can pinpoint it earlier, maybe our children of this generation could have been saved.
No one is at fault,  We never realized it figured that out because I took a mental trip back in my own childhood, and remembered what I was like, and went through. So it is a very good indication that our children act out, or exhibit addictive personality because of our own way of supporting the things that w e thought were harmless.  As parents we need to observe our children closely. Be careful with the simplest support, it might backfire.
