We have known each other

Well over ten years

We have both moved around

But we always stay near



You were the second person

I met after I had moved

You lived in the corner

The day we met loomed



It was a normal day

My friend and I

We were just having a drink 

And also getting high



A knock at my door

I walked over that way

I opened it up

It was you and said hey



You asked about the smell

Is that what I think

I said yes that it is

You knew from the stink



You asked to join us

I said sure why not

You came inside

We had what you sought



We passed it to you

And we started talking

You were so giddy 

No rush to start walking



We chatted for a bit and 

Learned you liked games

Crib was my favourite

So I taught you the same



We played endlessly

As we drank and toked

A few years we done that

Played music as we smoked



Now many years later 

We are still good friends

Cheers to all the good times

But why did they have to end
