Burdens
I've prayed for redemption
For all my sins,
But redemption has not defeated
The beast within.
That grey cloud darkens
Above my head.
Darkest days
I'd be better off dead.
These battles are mine
And mine alone,
I won't burden my friends
In person or by phone.
We all have problems,
As if our burdens define us.
So I move on
And keep my thoughts silent.
