Awake all night working
Never alone
Dangerous grounds
Look what I found.

Saw the crack on the floor
Stepped to safety
Warned you didn't I
Watched you fall didn't I.

Half the room collapsed
We still tryed to sleep
Yet we were alarmed
By a disturbance.  

Witnessed thieves
I Watched them 
Then I put on a show
So they'd watch me.

Around me they smiled
They stood in a semi-circle
I was surrounded by them
Cornered by them.

We didn't have nothing
Nothing worth stealing
Our home was empty
Instead they watched me.

They left empty handed
"wanna take you with me"
One of em said after the show
But I wouldn't go.

Another night, another day
Then night once more
We hope we sleep well
Yet we can't tell.

Then another break in
A small gang with guns
Dressed in black clothes
From head to toe.

I got the better of one
Stopped him in his tracks
Tore off his mask
Found out he was black.

As the rest of the gang
Made their way
Around our home for real
They found we had nothing to steal.

They left empty handed
We had peace again
Slept well through n through
And had a little dream of you.
