The antiseptic smell
does not bother her anymore.
Has not worn a fragrance for so long.

Old friends have faded away
To be replaced by
doctors and nurses

Hasn't walked on familiar paths for long
New and unfamiliar roads have become her companions

Equipments that used to scare her
at one time
has no effect on her anymore.

Queen of parties
has become a familiar face
in the hospital corridor.
Not a patient
Nor a doctor

Only a stone
With no feelings or emotions.
