Plaguing Specter Read Count : 50

Giving chase upon my spirit unaware or awake,
Consuming hate pursuing my shadow to take it's place,
That's my malevolent formed fate.

This is my curse,
I've been chosen to be first,
Never to be alone it's much worse,
This tormentor will follow me to my hearse,
I'll be immersed as I rise above to only be reversed,
Falling straight to hell I transverse as my direction is now in reverse.

Back in time to realign, I'm in a dream to find my purpose, my reason, why this life was always teasing,

To find out why I'm a stillborn in time,
Understand the purpose of my service which makes me nervous,

It's light versus the furnace,
It's the serpent wrapped in cursive,
It's the person behind the curtain on the surface,
Looking back in life to gain insight,
Why was the spirit drafting,
Why was it loitering,
Why was it grasping,
Why was it shattering?

Reminiscing my childhood long after the  birth,
before adulthood I am baptized for my self worth,
Always bearing the golden seal to reveal,
I've done my best to pass the true test.

But the Specter was always awaiting, anticipating,
I stepped over cracks and watched over my back,
The Specter was always proclaiming and gaining while exclaiming it's curse upon my agency inflaming.

Doing right brought back two wrongs,
Giving caution held back my blossoms,
Giving back for a cause had it's flaws,
Doing anything invited the Specter to play along.

Drifting away from my shadow,
It would prepare the gallows,
This continuum started long ago,
A plaguing Specter that'd tip toe,
Another life to get it right in the afterglow.
