I walked down a lonely pathAdmiring the rhythmic tintinnabulation from afarI let the droplets of the early morning dew wet meStill walking along the path,I came across a red roseBlazing hot red like a fiery furnaceDemystified as a sign of loveAfter much struggleI successfully plucked the rose.Looking forward,Was a narrow and blurry pathAs though, one would not survive going through itThe sight alone was astigmaticYet, I was resolute in my desire to give the rose to youI successfully brought it to youYou embraced me with love and care.Suddenly, you retreatedWith scorn and disregard written all over your faceYou picked the flower and threw it at my faceLeaving me dejected and sorrowful.©Omoremi
