                            The Strange Mist

There was once a peculiar land far in the West. It was known as Wolkam. Now Wolkam was not a very powerful state in any sense of the term. It was a small state, reliant mostly on agriculture to fuel all the needs of its people. This is where Paramis's story begins. Paramis was born into a small working class family. This meant that he was involved in the agricultural trade. Wolkam housed many more powerful persons , such as the Duke of Aparkas, who was residing in Wolkam as he was advised to do so by his attendants. In addition to non-native people, Wolkam also was home to many great native families and lineages , such as those of the Werkams and Orkams. But as the circumstances of Paramis's birth pronounced, he was destined to be a farmer. The ones of high birth, such as those of the aforementioned Werkam and Orkam families often ridiculed those of lower birth. This was daily life for Paramis. He, along the rest of the low-birthed ones, was subject to torture unimaginable at the hands of their managers. But one day, as Paramis was going back to his half-broken home, he came upon a jar filled with a mist of sorts. This particular variety of mist, however, had a strange glow to it. The aura attracted the attention of Paramis further and further until the temptation broke him and he touched the jar. When he touched the jar, he felt a great sense of warmth and strength pass over him, though nothing greater happened. In the end, he left the jar where it was and continued on his way to his home. The next day, he felt, went faster than normal. He also felt more vigorous and less fatigued as he went back to his home once more. On his way back, he saw the strange jar again. He remembered what had happened the last time he touched it though he refused to believe that this was the cause of his newfound energy. Nevertheless, he touched it again as it seemed to cause no harm to do so. Again he felt the same surge of strength pass over him and he continued on his way another time. The next day, however, he was a bit too energetic. His excessive energy and overall overreactiveness caused more than a few problems at his workplace. Again, as he came back, he felt better than usual and attributed this to the strange jar filled with the mist. Again he touched it, but this time, he was so attracted to it that he took it home along with him. He started becoming excessively attracted to the object. He would always keep it beside him, whether he was working or sleeping. Soon it started becoming more noticeable. Then, one night, as he was preparing to go to bed, he was overcome with curiosity and opened the container. He was sucked into the jar and lost consciousness. When he came back to his senses, he was confronted by an enormous beast. It had horns resembling those of rams and pillars for legs and arms. He ran away as fast as he could, but was eventually caught by the hulking beast. His noodle arms and legs couldn't do anything. His flimsy body was destroyed by the creature. But in the distance, a dark vapour of sorts blew in the breeze to what used to be the body of Paramis. The vapour enters into his body. His corpse repairs itself and he gains greater energy and vigour than he ever experienced before. He fought the beast and killed it like it was nothing. He fell unconscious again, but this time, he woke up to all his friends anxious faces. They explain that he fell asleep three days a go and didn't wake up. As he was recounting his experience, he remembered that the energy that helped him defeat the monster was a different kind of energy than he experienced from the mist in the jar, it sort of felt different. He also recounted that when he woke up, he only saw an empty jar and no strange mist. He never saw of it again. Thenceforth Paramis's life continued as normal, but a bit different. From that day till the day of his death, he lived as a hero not to be forgotten in the land of Wolkam, far in the West.

                               The Bullroarers

The Bullroarers were once a small tribe in the long gone land of Namkor, one of Wolkam's neighbours. The Bullroarers expanded their territories further after the collapse of Namkor. They were now a very powerful empire almost completely surrounding Wolkam. They had plans of annexing Wolkam's land. The people of both states were well aware of this. As a result, they began preparing for war. Now between the return of Paramis and the expansion of the Bullroarers, Paramis grew rich as people from far an near paid huge amounts to even see the legendary glass and the man who found it. Wolkam also became very powerful in the area. Paramis prepared his abode for the event of a possible invasion. Both sides were very powerful but both were afraid of each other. In the event of an attack, even the emergent victor would be at a loss. The Werkams and Orkams split off into their own kingdoms and were threatening the Bullroarers from the North. One day, a spy was discovered in Bullroarer territory. The was the straw that broke the camel's back. The enraged Bullroarers attacked Wolkam for all they were worth. Wolkam tried to defend itself, but couldn't. The Bullroarers pushed into Wolkam territory, not missing an inch of land. That is, until Paramis got involved. Paramis too hired men for defence. His men fought valiantly but could only successfully defend a small piece of land. The Bullroarers constantly attacked Paramis, but failed to defeat him. Paramis never exited the land that was protected, as it would mean certain death. Some of the Bullroarer army joined forces with Paramis. They tried again, but their efforts were quashed once more. They were about to make a third attempt when Paramis found a supposedly empty jar emitting some heat. Based on what he previously learnt, strange jars aren't to be trusted. But this jar had a warm feeling to it. It felt like a gentle calling. But he refused to have anything to do with it. Again they fought, this time with a much stronger army. But again they were defeated. Many of their men were killed. Another attempt was made, but this time Paramis too fought. But before he did, he touched the jar. He felt very dizzy, almost ready to fall flat, but he fought anyway. He was defeated very badly and was about to be killed when he noticed an entire army coming and joining the fight. Paramis feared the Bullroarers may have allies in the region, but the army fought on Paramis's side instead. Eventually the land was gained back. The other army was from the Werkams. When all was said and done, Paramis gave a huge sum of money to the Werkams for thir help. Once again, Wolkam was saved.
