I can laugh all day long, 
I can dance all the night,
 But if I don't have you close,
 Baby, my soul stays out.

  I can talk to many, 
I can claim to be fine,
 But I miss you,
 And no one can heal my soul.

  I can seem happy,
 I can talk too much, 
I can pretend not to hide lies, 
But I miss you when someone speaks
 And I don't recognize your voice
 Behind the lips.  

I can close my eyes to outline your face,
 I can hide you behind a tear.
I can resign myself even if I still believe 
That one day you'll look for me.
