I'm not at my best,
An emotional mess,
Sensitive,
Scared,
Nonetheless, 
I pretend.

I pretend that I'm okay,
I pretend that I'm alright.
I keep you at a distance,
I tell you that I'm fine.

I haven't been myself,
Silently screaming for your help,
I want nothing else,
But for you to make me well.

I'm scared to be alone,
I won't make it on my own,
All I ask is that you stay,
And make me feel okay.
