I remember a time,
I was happy,
I shined.
I felt as if no life was better than mine. 
As I grew older I discovered my truths,
A new version of myself,
I started anew.
Not a change for the better, 
But one for the worst,
I knew I wasn't perfect, 
And with that followed hurt. 
My smile has faded,
And my light has gone out,
The memories of a past,
I now live without.
