Our first day at our new school was pretty normal and that’s how it was for a week, but then something changed in the second week.

Mariah and I along with our class was making paintings, when I accidentally dropped my paint brush.

I nearly fell, when somebody caught me, he had short brown hair, wearing an apron, blue shirt, black jeans and white shoes.

His name is Mike.

“Thanks Mike”, I said.

“No problem, a pretty face like yours shouldn’t get hurt”, said Mike, as he helps me back on my chair.

I blushed and looked surprised at the same time.

Mariah was shocked at what Mike said too, but instead of blushing, she broke her paint brush.

“Mariah, please use the brush, do not break it”, said the teacher.

“My apologies, can I pay for it?” asked Mariah.

“It was twenty dollars”, said The teacher.

The teacher has long blond hair, wearing a pink dress with an apron on and pink heels.

Mariah gives the teacher twenty dollars from her wallet after class.

“Mariah, I got to say that you and Ms. Kanisha, are the only ones who take things like breaking school supplies so seriously, I must say you two were raised properly”, The teacher compliments Mariah.

“Thank you”, said Mariah.

I was hiding behind the door listening to their conversation, until Mariah came out the classroom.

“So, what happened?” I asked, acting cool as I was leaning against the wall.

“Uh, I don’t know I was looking at you and Mike and”, Mariah spoke honestly.

Mariah runs away and tries to hide her blushed face.

I tried to catch Mariah, but she escaped, so I left looking worried.

After I left, Mariah came out of a closet and says “What am I doing? Why couldn’t I finish my sentence?” 

“Oh, who is this, my friend Mariah?” asked Crystal.

Crystal has curly hair, wearing a blue shirt, red pants, and black boots.

“Crystal, how long were you there?” asked Mariah, surprised.

“Quite a while don’t worry the coast is clear”, replies Crystal.

“Oh okay, Crystal, do you know?” asked Mariah.

“You...are...in...love!” Crystal answered.

“In love, that’s ridiculous”, said Mariah. “I mean it’s just Kanisha, but then again I hated seeing her with Mike, actually I’ve hated that for all while”.

“Wait, you admitted you might love Kanisha and I don’t mean in a family way, I mean a romantic way”, Crystal pointed out.

“What that’s ridiculous, I mean… I… I…” replied Mariah.

“You give up?” asked Crystal.

“Yes, but I can’t be in love, we are just friends. So, I’m going to ignore this feeling”, said Mariah, then walked away.

“It’ll destroy you, and when that happens I’ll be here”, said Crystal. 

“As if I’m no wimp, I can hide my emotions”, Mariah insisted.

“From a normal person yes, but you and Kanisha are tight like glue”, Crystal pointed out.

“You won’t leave me be until I agree to your terms, plus you do make a good point”, replied Mariah. 

Crystal puts on glasses, gets a clipboard out of her phone, and says “Great, first you must set up a date for Kanisha and Mike”.

“What? I thought you assumed I love Kanisha, why would I set up a date for her, oh to see if I get jealous”, Mariah figures out.

“Such a clever girl, you and Kanisha are a perfect match, but you know we don’t know if Kanisha likes you back, yet”, Crystal points out, while texting on her phone.

“Will you please continue your plan?” asked Mariah.

“Okay, okay, set up the date and if you interrupt it, then that confirms I’m right and you are in love”, Crystal revealed her plan.

“Fine, I’ll agree to you terms, but how do we convince them?”  asked Mariah.

“I got it, lead them to the park, I’ll handle the rest”, said Crystal.

“Uh, fine”, said Mariah.

Mariah and Crystal split up.

Mariah puts a paper with a paperclip in Mike’s pocket and talks to Kanisha at lunch.

“Really? I didn’t think he liked me like that”,I said, surprised as she was eating a sandwich.

“Well, I’m just analyzing what I notice”, said Mariah.

At first, I was skeptical, then I asked Mariah “So, you said he wants to meet me at the park?” 

“Yup, should I come with or can you handle it if it’s true or not?” asked Mariah.

“No, I can handle it”, I insisted.

“Alright”, said Mariah.

Mariah smiles naturally and then gives an evil look.

At the park, Mike and I meet each other.

“So, it was a set up”, I figured out.

“I’m afraid so”, said Mike.

“So, you don’t like me like that?” I asked, shyly.

Mike blushes, and says “Well, I never said that”.

“So, you want to take a walk?” I asked.

“Sure”, said Mike, smiled.

Mike and I walk looking normal.

Crystal and Mariah come out of their hiding spots and give each other a high five, once Mike and I left.

“You got all the people to leave from the park, didn’t you?” Mariah says in a low voice.

“Yup”, said Crystal in a low voice. “But, let’s go before we miss them”.

“Got it”, Mariah nodded.

Mariah and Crystal follow Mike and I.

Mike and I are eating ice cream, while sitting on a bench.

“I didn’t know, you like chocolate”, I said.

“True, but I did know that about you”, said Mike.

“True, I do say that a lot and don’t hide it”, I admitted, as I finished my ice cream.

“That’s whatI like about you, you are so honest”, said Mike, as he finished his ice cream.

“Oh”, I blushed.

I cleared my throat, and says “Enough about me, I barely know you, what can you tell me about you besides that you love art”.

“I also love track, watching football, and I like reading”, Mike told me.

“You do, what kind of stuff do you like to read, also are you going to eat your cone?” I asked, acting cool.

Mike hands me his cone, and says “I like fantasy and action books”.

“Oh, that’s what I’m writing”, I said.

“Really, that’s great”, said Mike. “So, do you like me enough, that you want to actually date?”

I was silent for a moment, and says “Guess”.

“I’m guessing yes”, said Mike.

“Correct”, I said.

In the bushes, Mariah turns red, which Crystal notices, then Mariah walks away.

‘Good girl’, thought Crystal, as she holds binoculars.

Mariah walks to a group of trees and whistles.

A bunch of shadows appears, and Mariah shows a bunch of bananas in both hands.

The shadows follow Mariah.

Mike and I were walking, while holding hands, which is the same time Mariah appears with her little friends.

Mariah clicks and throws the Bananas by Mike.

Mike picks up the bananas, and shrugs his shoulder.

The shadows are revealed to be monkeys and land on Mike and fight with him.

I backed up after I heard Mike screaming like a girl, and horrified about that scene.

Mariah leaves the scene with an evil smile.

Crystal had her camera catching the whole scene.

Mariah and Crystal meet in a limousine.

“Admit it”, said Crystal.

“No”, said Mariah.

“Admit it”, Crystal repeated.

“No”, Mariah repeated.

Crystal shows her video and has an evil smile, then holds out her hand.

“Fine, I hated Mike being with Kanisha, and I admit I love her in a romantic way”, Mariah admitted.

“That’s my girl”, said Crystal. “But that's not all I wanted”.

Mariah handed Crystal a five dollar bill, then sat down by Crystal.

“You are rich, so why are you a gambler?” said Mariah.

“I don’t call it gambling, I call it having fun”, Crystal winked, as she counted her money.

Crystal and Mariah enjoy each other's company, while in the limousine.
