I intended to follow you,

 But I lost track of your steps.  

I wanted to kiss you,

 But my mouth found other lips to kiss. 
 My arms were dumb

 And my thoughts were dry.

 Waiting too long honey, 

My heart took another way.  
I intended to keep you,

 But it became so hard in the end.

 I intended to follow you, 

But I lost track of your soul.
I left my soul wide open, 

But you never got here.

I intended to follow you,

 But I lost track of your shadow.
