Eighteen years
Since I dropped to one knee.
So many years
You and me.
Through sickness and stress
We were side-by-side.
And untold duress,
We managed to thrive.
Five wonderful children
We brought into the world.
And we still stand
As the flag unfurls.
It's not been easy
And there has been pain,
Yet here we are,
Together, we remain.
Who knows what
The future may bring.
But I'll still love you
Another eighteen.
