Remnants, pieces of a once thriving people.
Crumbling facades of buildings that once were marvels.
Dust laden bones in unkempt graves, looted by thieves.
All that remains are bits, pieces of people who’ve left this world.

Fables, tall tales and nursery rhymes faded from view.
Knowledge held in great libraries scattered across this barren land.
Loves once thought to shake future generations, wisps among thimbleweed.
History forgotten, blown by Mother Nature’s mighty four winds.

No kings, queens or rulers remembered.
Wiped from earth as if they never mattered.
Thus I tell you the ever changing tale of all men.
A cleansing of earth’s stories as old as father time himself.
