I broke my wings,
 Because you couldn't fly. 
 I burned my eyes,
 Because you were not able
 To see above the sky.

I canceled the person I was before, 
Because you didn't like it.
When I became the person you wanted, 
You didn't recognize me. 

 I was silent just to listen to your dreams,
 When I said a few words against,
 You always said,
 That I like to complain all the time. 

I let go of your hand, 
When your touch really hurt me.
When the person I had become,
 Had only become a pale shadow 
In your spring life.

Out of my thoughts I made wings, 
Out of my breath I made two eyes 
With which I see myself happy. 

 From words I made a mirror 
And I can see my life
 From another angle. 

 Out of loneliness I made a friend, 
Which makes me not feel as alone as before. 
 I don't complain anymore because
 I can't find reasons anymore, 
As I am now, I am good enough for myself.
