Like passing ships with both flares lit
Grasping rescue from the night
There had seemed no end in sight
No purpose to my life, no reason.

Distraction
New direction
Fresh wind beneath our sails
Diving familiar waters
Searching for who to save.

Carried on different waves
Trying desperately in vain
To catch the same, but time and time again
More waves came.
Waves came crashing in
Time and time again.

Showering voices whispering wisdom
Channelled through oceans of life
Stretching out to hold my head above water
But time and time again waves came crashing in.
Echoes fade but my mouth
It will never go under.
