IT IS TIME! Read Count : 182

Six years ago,
We started the journey,
From different nooks and crannies we came,
Like a little baby just weaned from her mother's breasts.

With our tiny cries of being homesick,
Unheard complaints,
Cruelity of our seniors,
Lashes of cane on our tender buttocks,
With grasses as high as Kilimanjaro to cut,
With our tiny cries still unheard.

Years went on,
We learnt to adapt,
Social life became a norm,
We didn't cry nor complain anymore.
'Work us out, please'.
Was the usual language.

My dear queen bees,
It is high time we left,
Let us obey the clarion call,
Drop the GREEN and WHITE,
As we go out into the world,
Bid yourselves farewell
But let no tear drop
'Cause IT IS TIME!
