I've made quite many.
Mistakes at the plenty.
I'm better now than I used to be
Had to give up a lot to reach this current me.
They complain I wasn't around when they needed me.
If only they could see
What it took for me
To finally even be able to leave
The place I sat and secluded me.
No one would hear me
It was always they needed me to be
Someone to listen whilst I kept my own plea
Under lock and key.
