You remind me
Of someone I used to know.
She wrote too, just like I do
No clue if she still does though.
She used to live up the road from me
I remember seeing her at the park
Where we agreed to meet each other.
I was playing basketball
I played until the game finished
Then I went to talk to her awhile.
She lit a spark in me I never felt before.
We talked again another time,
I even walked up the road with a cup of coffee in hand.
That's the day I found out she enjoyed writing.
Was also the day I found out
She was leaving soon faraway
To take care of her brain.
I was angry
She was leaving right as things could have been starting
I said I'd wait for her
Then we all of a sudden stopped talking.
I was lost for so long before we found each other
Then in the blink of an eye
It was over
Because I couldn't control my anger
I'm sorry I flipped out
All anyone does is leave me
I should have been honest and
Told her I loved her
Since the first day I met her
Her in her white skirt and black shirt
And me in my light blue shirt and basketball shorts.
I still think about her and
Whether if I waited, would things now be different?
I regret everything except loving her
I've never gotten over her.
