Within this human being,
Somewhere deep is the person I aim to be.
Navigating this façade of serenity.
Lost somewhere between dream and reality.

Lies this seeking, searching sinner that has become me.
Where left behind are forgotten dreams of simpler times.
Replaced with nightmares, wretched deeds that are all mine.

Prayers that before I leave this world, I shall find,
That peaceful dream that has become hard to find.

Layered by fool’s gold,
These dreams that can fill a waking sea.
A soul drifting far from shore,

Listing floating far from harbor of sea’s shore.
Waiting for arch angels hand,
To wash away these sins of man.
