Name on the Wall



Kneeling as she prayed, 
Through tears they read.
A name etched and added to the wall. 
Built far too long, engraved with too many names. 

Their sacrifices memorialized in granite. 
Etchings left to speak for actions. 
When with pride willingly their lives they gave. 
For the innocents home tonight. 

Tears flowing as she pleads. 
Begging God above to trade,
His life for the name on the wall.
