If love is just a lie, 

Please keep lying to me, darling.

  If love is just an illusion, 

Let me keep you as my only desire.  
If love means only two words,

 Please say them often.

  If love is just a compromise, 

Please let me fulfill all your wishes. 
 If love is just a song, 

Please put it on repeat,

 Until the lyrics get under my skin.
  If love is a memory,

 Please let me remember

 Your beautiful words. 

 If love has a definition, 

I can learn it at any cost.
  If you invented the love, 

Teach me to love you right.

If love is just a lie, 

Please, keep lying to myself!
