Kelly was the only daughter of a poor couple. Their names where Olivia and Tommy McWonder. Of course, they weren't born poor. The greedy prince stole money from the McWonders a few years ago because Olivia and Tommy refused to give away their child to a wealthy family. In the end, the prince was beheaded on one Christmas Eve after a mob of villagers went looking for him. Unfortunately, despite the assanation of the prince, it didn't mean that the stolen money was found. It was hidden somewhere in a mountain in France. Because of these events, it left the McWonder family moneyless all because a stupid brat stole some loot. As the years went on, the McWonder family tried to make a living but they had been forgotten about since the princes death. Currently, Kelly McWonder was living in a poor village with her family. They were given a home made out of hay and straw by an old beggar called Elsie. One day, Kelly walked out of her so-called house to collect some water from a white fountain. She was treated like a slave because her parents feared that if anyone remembered the past, then people would try and end her life. But Kelly never understood this. She just went along with the work. At the fountain, a little man the size of an infant, stumbled clumsily to the fountain. "Fool, are you okay?" Kelly asked. The Fool jumped into the fountain without saying a word and splashed Kelly with water. She fell backwards and dropped her bucket onto some mud. Suddenly, the school bell rang from up the street. Then, a bunch of children started walking down the path, laughing at Kelly. "Now, now," Said a soft voice, "Elsie will calm you down." "No!" A girl cried. "Please!" A boy begged. But Elsie had the children in a tight grip. "That coward needs to learn some manners!" The Fool joked to Kelly. However, Kelly didn't find it funny. She was gonna burst with anger. "Get lost!" Kelly screamed, "I wish I never met you! I hope you die!" There was a complete silence and the children exchanged looks at each other. Elsie threw the kids in her grip to the ground in horror. Behind all this, Kelly noticed a rose glowing. That was peculiar. A flower couldn't glow because of some garbage a girl barked, couldn't it? But, The Fool had ran off in tears and the crowd were whispering in each other's ears. One fat boy shoved Kelly out of the way. She fell onto some manure from a shop owners cow. Then, putting her attention back on the rose, she saw that there was no rose but just some grass! Kelly had done something! 🌹 The next day, The Fool was heading across the mountain to visit his mother in hospital. Kelly, on the other hand, was trying to burn The Fool! She was so annoyed about yesterday's scene that she was actually trying to kill the good-for-nothing man. Apparently, much to Kelly's disappointment, The fat Fool had already left. She went back to her home to do more chores. "Honestly. Go to Melinda at the spa, or Angelica has started a library which you can visit." Olivia was saying that afternoon. She was finding Kelly's tantrums babyish. "I think you can take a hike!" Tommy raged. "Dad - you absolute bounder!" Kelly roared. "Don't you dare speak to your father that way, Kelly McWonder!" Olivia shouted. "Shut up, you fat cow. Now go to your room, your grounded Missy!" Kelly argued. Olivia and Tommy had had it. They grabbed Kelly's arms and dragged her across the floor. Finally, she was thrown in a river and locked out of her house. "Oh my," A girl gasped. Her name was Zoey and she ran a hair salon. She picked up Kelly and took her to the hairdressers. "Poppet, I'll be a second," Zoey called after Kelly. A few moments later, a tall man came down. He was wearing a black jacket that made some admiring people usually faint. "Gaston, go talk to Kelly," Zoey said. "Don't boss me around you twerp!" Gaston roared. Zoey was very emotional and she hated her older brother shouting at her. She ran up some stairs, leaving Gaston and Kelly alone. "What?" Gaston asked angrily. Kelly didn't know what to say. She started out of a window and saw a light flicker. "Oh my," she gasped. The flicker was an emergency light meaning that The Fool was in danger. "Come to the mountains with me," Kelly said weakly, "The Fool is in danger. He needs my help." Kelly knew that The Fool was in no danger and it was probably a jinx from Kelly's tantrum. Gaston, surprised that someone wanted to help The Fool, nodded in agreement but felt very confused. 🌹 Kelly and Gaston threw on some of the torn clocks from the stable nearby, and hopped on to a horse each. "Stop!" Elsie said, waiting nearby, "Don't go now. You see, the ne-" "Yeah, yeah... Whatever," Gaston said, acting all cool. He nodded at Kelly and then signalled the two horses to head to the Misty mountains. Elsie watched, rolling her eyes angrily at Gaston. Then, she plucked a beautiful rose from the ground and tossed it after the the two running horses. Kelly and Gaston reached the mountain at last. Now for the hard part, finding The Fool. He could be anywhere in the mountain and it was a big mountain. The moon was also rising and that meant soon they would loose strentgh. "Gaston," Kelly said, "we'd better start seeking for The Fool before we find...wolves!" A pack of grey wolves had leaped onto the only available path. "Kelly, get some branches!" Gaston demanded quickly. Kelly grabbed some dried up branches from a dead acorn tree. Gaston snatched the twigs and rubbed them together. A fire had started on the tip of the branches and Gaston grinned. He eyed the wolf pack and fired the branches towards them. Gaston didn't miss even one wolf. Unfortunately, while The Fool was soon gonna be rescued, the innocent wolves would be left to die by a fire. Some time later, the moon had fully risen and Gaston fainted. The horses had also shut their eyes for a nap, leaving Kelly panicking about The Fool. "It's my fault for speaking near that damn, bloody rose," Kelly kept repeating to herself, each time sounding more miserable than before. Kelly decided to forget about everything and get some shut eye. "Good night!" She muttered dreamily. 🌹 The next day was a miracle. Kelly just made the horse move one step until she saw The Fool. But it was an odd encounter. This was because he had a glowing rose in his hand, like the one in the village. "Fool," She whispered, "I'm sorry I said that." "Please, give me a break." Gaston chuckled. The Fool stared angrily at Gaston. Kelly also glared. "You twit!" Gaston continued, "Thinking that I'd help you find a stupid baby. Well he's worthless." Kelly couldn't bear Gaston. But Gaston grabbed a knife from his pocket and stabbed a horse. The horse fell to the ground, scaring Kelly. "Come here Fool! Or Kelly gets it!" Gaston ordered angrily. Just then, some footsteps could be heard approaching Gaston. It was Elsie. Gaston laughed so hard that he nearly lost his voice. "Why are you here? What will you do you freak!" Gaston laughed. Elsie narrowed her eyes. She kicked Gaston and he fell to the floor. "Give the knife or-" "Never you Grandma!" Gaston shrieked. "What? Grandma! Go!" Elsie screamed. She pulled the knife from Gaston and stabbed it on his chest. Kelly couldn't look and hid behind The Fool. For Elsie, however, it wasn't over. She booted Gaston down the mountain as he cried and begged for Mercy. Gaston was gone! 🌹 Kelly, Elsie and The Fool jogged back to the village, horrified about the events. The Fool still had the rose. All of a sudden, it turned black and cracked, spreading ashes on the ground. At that moment, Tommy arrived. "Get away from The Fool! Gaston told us about him!" He shouted in panic. "No! I'll be with who I want. Fool, I love you!" Kelly argued, "If I can't be with him then.." She drew up the knife in front of her father and...
