I could have lied to you, 
I could have pretended to be a good man, 
But you have to know that I have vices, 
You have to know that I am not that perfect guy.

  I told you the truth and I don't regret it,
 I don't like to create high expectations in people.

  I could have hidden things, 
I could have pretended to have feelings. 
 I could have made you think 
That I am the man you are dreaming.

 But I'm just an ordinary man,
 Not with a beautiful face
 But with a beautiful heart.
 I would have liked to see your smile more often,
And hold you tight to my chest.

  But I'm just a man
 Out of the crowd.
Dear, even if I try, 
I can't read your precious mind. 

 Only you can tell me what you want,
But I could have lied to you, 
I could have pretended to be a good man, 
Just to impress you, 
And to steal your heart unjustly, 
Without deserving it.
